The Pro Infante Et Familia (PIF) Center
The newly built Pro Infante Et Familia (PIF) Center addresses the needs of deprived children, youth and families for developmental and holistic programs and services in aid of their growth and renewal as individual family members and as a single family unit.
The PIF Center is located in Talamban, Cebu City, Philippines and serves as a ‘second home’ to its clients where various interventions for children, youth, and families are offered and where rest, recreation, and reflection happens. The Center is staffed with six (6) Sisters who are professional counselors, one (1) full-time lay Social Worker, and one (1) Psychologist. It also partners with relevant professionals like medical doctors, educators, lawyers, youth facilitators, family counselors and others as needed by the programs.
The acquisition of the property materialized in 2012 and today, the work for the two-storey with roofdeck PIF Center is complete. It had its soft opening last May 2013 with the conduct of its peer facilitators training for Education Assistance Program (EAP) alumni who now serve as PIF Center’s youth facilitators.
